In November 2024, two brothers from Germany bought a cinema camera and decided to follow a dream. Tim and Jonas wanted to discover the world, film the places they discovered, and share their experiences with others in the form of cinematic travel films. That decision became the first step towards building the life they had dreamed about.
Today, they’re the brothers behind BrosOnTheMove who work full-time as travel creators, building their lives around traveling to new places. Their work has taken them all over Germany, Italy, Australia, and the Maldives, from mountain trails and dramatic coastlines to remote landscapes full of wildlife. Through their films, they hope to share the beauty of those places and encourage others to experience more of the world for themselves.
Additionally, their journey has shaped a message that both brothers find extremely personal. They have seen how easy it can be to keep waiting for the perfect moment to travel, try something new, or follow a dream. Their experience has taught them the value of starting while you have the opportunity.
"Life is happening right now, and we will never be this young again. So if you have a dream, don't wait for the perfect time or for the perfect moment. Just take the first step and go for it."

Taking the First Step
Being professional travel creators was still a dream for Tim and Jonas when they bought their cinema camera in November 2024. It took time, hard work, and a lot of faith in what they were making to turn that dream into a career. They had support from their parents during that time and were told to keep working toward the life they wanted.
"They kept supporting us and encouraged us to follow our dreams and fight for it. And today they often tell us how proud they are."
In the months that followed, the brothers had several moments that showed their dream could become something bigger. More than eight million people watched one of their first viral videos, which gave them an idea of how many people could relate to the narratives they were telling. They were able to turn their creative work into a professional opportunity for the first time with their first paid brand collaboration.
Purchasing a van in Australia was another significant step. It gave them the freedom to explore new places and create content while moving around the country. It was April 2026, nearly a year and a half after buying their cinema camera, that Tim and Jonas turned BrosOnTheMove into their full-time job.
Looking back, those early experiences echoed the message that is so present in their work today. They believe that many times dreams begin before everything feels right and sometimes the most important part is simply deciding to start.
Two Brothers Behind the Camera
Being brothers is an important part of the way Tim and Jonas travel and create. While they share the same objectives, they have different personalities and skills for every journey. One is more spontaneous, often coming up with unexpected ideas. The other tends to think ahead, making sure the plans stay on track.
"I think you're more spontaneous, and you often come up with crazy ideas. But I think most of the time, it ends up being a lot of fun. And I think you're more into planning ahead, stopping us from doing something too stupid, and planning everything."
Those differences also appear behind the camera. Jonas works mainly on filming, color grading and sound design. Tim flies the drone, edits their videos, responds to their emails and works with brands. Each brother has his own role, but the big creative decisions are still made together.
"The best thing is that we don't really argue that much because we trust each other's talents and always make decisions together."
That trust helps them work together through long days of traveling, filming, and editing. They complement each other’s strengths and know when to take charge in different parts of the process, which gives BrosOnTheMove a creative style that comes from both of them.

The Work Behind Every Journey
While a BrosOnTheMove video may depict a sunrise over the mountains, a secluded hiking trail, or the emergence of wildlife along the Australian coast, a large portion of their workweek takes place away from those moments. One or two days are set aside for filming each week, usually at sunrise or sunset when the light is at its best. Writing scripts, editing videos, responding to emails, collaborating with brands, planning routes, and getting ready for upcoming shoots take up the remaining days.
"What people don't see are the early mornings, the heavy backpacks, and the long editing nights, and the work behind every single video."
Their workspace is constantly changing as they travel. Hotels and apartments often become temporary editing rooms, and days on location can involve hours of carrying camera equipment to get to the places they want to film. During their year-long road trip through Australia, even the van they were living in became part of their creative setup.
"We edited all our videos in a van for one single year, which was pretty hard, to be honest."
While still working on their project, Tim and Jonas were free to travel around Australia that year. Along with earlier trips through the German Alps and Italian Dolomites, it also played an important role in shaping their filmmaking style. Each journey gave them new inspiration and helped shape the way they create.
Leaving Space for the Unexpected
Tim and Jonas usually map out the main route of a trip before they set out, but they also leave room for spontaneous decisions. They could go in a different direction if they find an interesting place, or they could follow the advice of someone they meet along the way. These unanticipated changes have led to some of their favorite memories.
One of the most memorable happened during their year in Australia. While looking for hiking routes on their phone, the brothers found a trail where there was a chance of seeing whales from the coastline. They decided to hike it the following day, and while walking along the coast, they suddenly saw a huge blow around 100 meters from the shoreline.
It was a blue whale, which they estimated to be about 25 meters long. With a swift drone launch, Tim and Jonas were able to get what turned out to be one of their favorite shots ever.
"We directly started our drone and got maybe the most incredible shot of our lifetime."
As the whale surfaced, sunlight caught the spray from its blow and created a rainbow. The brothers were standing on the coast when, completely by chance, one of the largest animals on Earth appeared just offshore.
"It was maybe the best moment of our whole life."
The experience stuck with them because it encapsulated so much of what they love about traveling. They had discovered a new path, followed their curiosity, and just happened to be there for something they could never have planned. Once the excitement settled, they immediately called their friends and family to share what they had seen.
"We directly called our friends and our family to share this incredible moment."

Powered From Anywhere
For Tim and Jonas, being ready for experiences like that means keeping the tools they rely on nearby. Their phone is one of the most important, as it supports almost every aspect of life on the road. They use it to find their way around unfamiliar places, to locate hiking trails, to check the weather, to plan sunrise and sunset photo ops, to answer emails, to post their work, and to stay in touch with family and friends.
When they have to work in remote areas, it's even more useful. They often rely on their phones to help them figure out where they are going and what conditions to expect during long filming days that keep them away from their accommodations for hours at a time.
"Because we always end up in the most remote places, I think it's also pretty important for our safety."
The blue whale encounter is one example of how much of a journey can depend on having their phone ready. The brothers used it to find the hiking route that took them to the coastline, and after witnessing the whale, they used it to call the people they wanted to share the experience with. On other days, the same device might help them navigate a trail, check changing weather, answer an important email, or prepare for the following morning's shoot.
Reliable power means they can use their phone throughout those long days without worrying about battery life. It also keeps them connected to home, as their work takes them across countries and into remote landscapes. Being able to contact friends and family is still a crucial aspect of life on the go, regardless of where Tim and Jonas are working.
Life Is Happening Now
After a year of exploring Australia, Tim and Jonas started to miss the mountains. They returned to the German Alps on their most recent trip, and they will travel to Switzerland on their next one. The mountains continue to be one of their favorite places to explore and are frequently the source of their greatest creative inspiration.
"Whenever we're surrounded by alpine landscapes, we feel completely present. That's where our best ideas come to life and where we create our favorite work."
For the brothers, it’s often about how a place makes them feel when they are choosing where to create. The landscapes that stay with them are usually the ones that make them want other people to experience the same feeling.
"If a location makes us stop, take a deep breath, and think, 'Everyone should experience this,' then we know it's somewhere worth creating."
That feeling continues to guide BrosOnTheMove. In less than two years, a decision to buy a cinema camera has taken Tim and Jonas from the German Alps to the Italian Dolomites, across Australia in a van, and to a coastline where they watched a blue whale surface beneath a rainbow. Every journey has given them another reason to explore and another story to tell when they return home.
At Baseus, we share Tim and Jonas' belief that people should have the freedom to explore new places and follow the opportunities that inspire them. The Baseus PicoGo series was created with life on the move in mind, giving travelers and creators a convenient way to keep their essential devices powered when their days take them far from a usual workspace.
For creators heading out with a light backpack, the Baseus PicoGo Air is easy to bring along for a day of exploring. When access to charging may be limited, the PicoGo AM52 provides dependable portable power for longer journeys. Both are meant to make it easier for creators to stay powered up so they can spend more time focusing on the journey ahead.
Tim and Jonas' story shows how much can begin with the decision to take that first step. We at Baseus want to empower more creators to continue moving forward and remain receptive to the experiences they encounter along the way, no matter where the journey takes them.
