Q1:  Which models of Baseus power banks are being recalled?

The recall involves two models of Baseus power banks:

(1) Baseus Magnetic Mini Wireless Fast Charge Power Bank 2022, 6000mAh 20W — model PPCXM06

(2) Baseus Magnetic Wireless Charging Power Bank 6000mAh 20W — model PPCXW06

PPCXW06 were sold from May 2022 on eBay and various other retailers.

PPCXM06 were sold from July 2023 on eBay and various other retailers.

Both PPCXM06 and PPCXW06 were offered in white, black, light blue and light pink colors.

Only models PPCXM06 and PPCXW06 are being recalled.  Other Baseus power banks are not affected by this recall.

Q2:  Why are the power banks being recalled?

We have become aware that the power banks contain a lithium-ion battery that can overheat, swell and/or bludge, posing a fire hazard.

Q3:  Where were the recalled power banks sold?

PPCXW06 were sold from May 2022 on eBay and various other retailers.

PPCXM06 were sold from July 2023 on eBay and various other retailers.

Q4:  Is my power bank affected?

This recall involves two models of Baseus power banks: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06.

PPCXW06 were sold from May 2022 on eBay and various other retailers.

PPCXM06 were sold from July 2023 on eBay and various other retailers.

To see if your Baseus power bank is affected, locate the model number displayed on the magnetic side of the device. Only products that display model numbers PPCXM06 or PPCXW06 are part of the recall.

If your unit has a model number with different and/or additional letters or digits, it is not part of this recall.  Even a slight variation in the letter/digit combination means that the product is not part of this recall.

Q5: My power bank is working fine. My power bank does not get hot to the touch. Can I continue using it?

No. You should immediately stop using the product and to dispose of the product in accordance with the local lithium battery disposal requirements.

Q6:  How can I participate in the recall? What should I do?
  • Step 1Determine if your Baseus power bank is part of this recall.This recall involves two models of Baseus power banks: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06.  Model number PPCXM06 was sold from July 2023, and model number PPCXW06 was sold from May 2022. Please refer to Q4 above for instructions and product images to help you determine if your unit is part of the recall.
  • Step 2: If you have a recalled Baseus power bank, you should stop using it immediately and ensure that others will not have access to it.  
  • Step 3Email productrecalls-au@baseus.com to initiate a refund. You will need to provide proof of purchase, a photo of the product showing one of the two affected model numbers, and serial number (“SN”).
  • Step 4: Do not ship the power bank to the Company or anyone else.Please dispose of the product in accordance with the local lithium battery disposal requirements.  For more information on proper disposal, please refer to Q7 below.  

Only two models of Baseus power banks are impacted by this recall: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06.  If your Baseus power bank has a different model number, it is not part of this recall, and you may continue using it.

If you purchased a Baseus power bank between May 2022 and July 2024 and gave it as a gift, you should notify the gift recipient of this recall, so that they may check the model number on their unit and determine if it is a part of the recall.

Q7:  How can I return the power bank? How should I dispose of the power bank?

Only two models of Baseus power banks are part of this recall: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06.  To determine if your device is part of the recall, please refer to Q4 above.

You do not have to return the recalled power bank to Baseus in order to get a full refund of the purchase price. Do not ship the recalled power bank to the Company or anyone else.

Immediately stop using the product and to dispose of the product in accordance with the local lithium battery disposal requirements.

Q8:  I no longer have the power bank.  Can I still get a refund?  

Only two models of Baseus power banks are part of this recall: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06. No other models of Baseus power banks are affected.

To process a refund, Baseus requires (1) proof of purchase (such as an order confirmation), (2) a photo of your device showing either PPCXM06 or PPCXW06 model numbers (displayed on magnetic side), and (3) serial number “SN”, which is printed on the narrow side of the device. Email productrecalls-au@baseus.com to initiate a refund.

Q9:  I received the power bank as a gift.  Can I still get a refund?

Only two models of Baseus power banks are part of this recall: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06. To determine if your device is part of the recall, please refer to Q4 above. No other models of Baseus power banks are affected.

If you received one of the two recalled models Baseus power banks as a gift, you should stop using the device right away. You should contact the original purchaser of the device.

To process a refund, Baseus requires (1) proof of purchase (such as an order confirmation), (2) a photo of your device showing either PPCXM06 or PPCXW06 model numbers (displayed on magnetic side), and (3) serial number “SN”, which is printed on the narrow side of the device.  Email productrecalls-au@baseus.com to initiate a refund.

Q10:   I purchased the power bank, but I don’t have proof of purchase. Can I still get a refund?

Only two models of Baseus power banks are part of this recall: PPCXM06 and PPCXW06. To determine if your device is part of the recall, please refer to Q4 above. No other models of Baseus power banks are affected.

You should stop using the device right away. If you purchased the power banks, but don’t have proof of purchase, to process a refund, Baseus requires (1) a photo of device with both your name and the date written in permanent maker on it , (2) a photo of your device showing either PPCXM06 or PPCXW06 model numbers (displayed on magnetic side), and (3) serial number “SN”, which is printed on the narrow side of the device.
