Baseus Recalls Portable Chargers with Model Number BS-30KP365

Your safety is our top priority. Shenzhen Baseus Technology Co., Ltd (“Baseus”) is voluntarily recalling the following portable charger:

  • Baseus Portable Charger, 65W 30000mAh High Capacity Power Bank with model number BS-30KP365 with a serial number (SN) ending in the number 0 through 9 or the letter “D”.

The portable chargers contain a lithium-ion battery that may overheat, swell and/or bludge, posing a fire hazard.

SCOPE OF THE RECALL

If you have a portable charger with model number BS-30KP365, and a serial number (SN) ending in the number 0 through 9 or the letter “D”, stop using it right away. Portable chargers with model number BS-30KP365 and a serial number (SN) ending in the letter A are NOT part of the recall. No other Baseus portable chargers or power banks are affected by this voluntary recall. 

 To see if your Baseus portable charger is affected, locate the model and serial number displayed on the bottom of the device. Only products that display model numbers BS-30KP365,  with a serial number (SN) ending in the number 0 through 9 or the letter “D”.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
If you have a Baseus portable charger with model number BS-30KP365 with a serial number (SN) ending in the number 0 through 9 or the letter "D", please immediately stop using it and disconnect the portable charger from any devices.
If you received the portable charger as a gift, you should stop using the device right away. you should contact the original purchaser of the device.

Customers should dispose of the product in accordance with the local requirements for disposing lithium batteries and contact Baseus to receive a full refund. 

 Do not throw the product in the rubbish, home recycling, or public recycling boxes. Do not ship the portable charger to the Company or anyone else.

OBTAINING A REFUND

We are offering a refund to affected consumers. You may have already received email correspondence from us, or the retailer, the e-commerce platform you purchased the unit from,  outlining the steps to obtain a refund from us. If you have not received an email, please contact Baseus via 1800 954 260 from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday AEST, or email productrecalls-au@baseus.com to commence your refund.

To request a refund, please make sure you have the following: (1) your contact information, (2) proof of purchase (such as an order confirmation), or, if you do not have proof of purchase, a photo of the recalled portable charger with your name and the date written on it in permanent marker, (3) a photo of the recalled portable charger showing the model number and serial number (SN), which are printed on the bottom of the device. Please see example images below:

Please note that if your claim is approved, the maximum refund without proof of purchase is $78.If you purchased the portable chargers, but dont have proof of purchase, to process a refund, Baseus requires (1) a photo of device with both your name and the date written in permanent maker on it, (2) a photo of your device showing the model number BS-30KP365 (displayed on the bottom of the device), and (3) serial number SN, which is printed on the bottom of the device.
